Program & Refund Policies

 

Youth and Adult Class Policies

CREATE reserves the right to use copies of artwork, video, and photos taken during any camp, class, program, or workshop.

If we do not reach our minimum enrollment for a class, we will contact you at least one week before the class is scheduled to begin to postpone the start date or cancel the class.

Should CREATE cancel a program, all fees will be refunded.

If you need to cancel your class registration, you must contact our Registrar at 301-588-2787 or registrar@createartscenter.org to request a refund. There is no refund for cancellations less than 1 week (7 days) before the first day of class.

A $20 cancellation fee is applied to all class registration refunds.

If you know in advance that you or your child will be unable to attend a class, please call CREATE at 301-588-2787 or email registrar@createartscenter.org.

 

No School Day Art Camp Policies

Please Note These policies are for the No School Day Camps that occur during the academic school year through the Fall, Winter, and Spring school semesters, Winter Break, Spring break, Teacher works days, Holidays, Etc… These are not the policies for our summer camp programming.

Camps must be paid in full at the time of registration to guarantee a spot.

Should CREATE cancel a camp session, all fees will be refunded.

Should you need to cancel a camp registration, you must contact us via email at registrar@createartscenter.org, and please note our cancellation/refund policies:

  • Cancellations requested more than 48 hours (2 days) before the start of the camp session receive a full refund minus a $20 administrative fee.
  • If it is more than 48 hours before the start of the camp session, you may request a transfer to another camp date (No School Day Art Camp, Winter Break Art Camp, or Spring Break Art Camp) with no transfer fee, but the transfer cannot be guaranteed.
  • There are no refunds available for cancellations requested less than 48 hours before the start of the camp session.
  • Transfer requests less than 48 hours before the start of the camp session are at the discretion of CREATE Arts Center staff and will incur a $20 administrative fee if granted.

ALLERGIES: Our camps are nut-free. Please do not pack any food with nuts or nut products in your child’s lunch or snack. Additionally, due to allergy concerns, children may not share food. This includes siblings.

Campers should bring a bottle of water, a non-perishable lunch, and an afternoon snack (if staying for After Care). No soda, energy drinks, candy, gum, or lollipops.

No toy weapons (such as cap guns, water guns, etc.), handheld video game devices, or iPods. If you send your child with a phone, it must be kept in his or her backpack during the camp day.

Any camper not picked up by 3:15 pm will be automatically transferred to aftercare, and the credit card on file will be charged the total aftercare price for that day.

Campers in aftercare must be picked up by no later than 6:00 pm. For late pickups after 6:00 pm, there will be a charge of $1/minute to be paid in cash directly to the provider at the time of pickup.

 

Summer Camp Policies

Should you need to cancel a camp registration, you must contact us via email at registrar@createartscenter.org, and please note our cancellation/refund policies:

  • Cancellations requested by May 1  will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative fee for each canceled weekly camp session.
  • There are no refunds for cancellations requested after May 1st.
  • If there is availability, you have the option to request a transfer to an alternate summer camp session. Transfer requests will be considered by the CREATE Arts Center staff and are subject to their discretion. A $50 administrative fee will be applicable for each transfer request involving multiple transfers. To initiate a transfer, please reach out to us at registrar@createartscenter.org. Please note that after May 1st, only transfers to available weeks are allowed, and only one transfer per camper is permitted. Ensure that the Session Transfer Request Form is completed at least a week prior to the requested week. If you are requesting a switch to a week with a different duration (either fewer or more days), the requesting party will be charged or refunded the price difference accordingly. CREATE recognizes that all participants in our programs have the right to be referred to by their identified name and/or pronouns. We also recognize and respect matters of gender identity, and will make all reasonable accommodations in response to participant requests regarding gender identity, and will protect individual privacy and confidentiality.

Where facilities are designated by gender, CREATE recognizes that participants should utilize the restroom facility they are most comfortable using in alignment with their consistently asserted gender identity.
